THE RULES
1. Ask First - Ask a grown-up first. Sharp tools and the stove are grown-up jobs.
2. Wash Up First - Wash your hands with soap before you cook.
3. Aprons On - Wear short sleeves or roll your sleeves up near the stove.
4. Three Big Steps Back - Stay three feet away from a hot stove.
5. Handles to the Back - Turn pot handles toward the back of the stove.
6. Stay by the Pan - A grown-up stays by the pan, or turns the burner off.
7. Oven Mitts - Hot pans need oven mitts. A grown-up takes them out.
8. The Microwave - Only a grown-up opens the microwave and takes out hot food.
9. Raw Meat Stays Apart - Keep raw meat apart. Wash your hands after you touch it.
10. Leftovers Go in the Fridge - Put leftovers in the fridge within two hours.
