THE TIPS
1. A Body Clue - Feelings show up in your body. Notice them.
2. Say Its Name - Say the feeling's name out loud.
3. Big Belly Breaths - Put your hands on your belly and take a slow breath.
4. Count and Breathe - Count slowly while you breathe in and out.
5. Go to Your Calm Corner - Go to your calm corner when feelings feel big.
6. Squeeze Something Soft - Hug or squeeze something soft to help your hands feel calm.
7. Ask for a Hug - It is okay to ask a grown-up for a hug or help.
8. Words, Not Hands - Use your words, not your hands.
9. Feelings Pass - Big feelings do not last forever. They pass.
10. Proud of Me - Trying your best feels proud, even after big feelings.
